Don’t Forget the Cake!

Fallow “The Bohemian Atheist”: Facebook twitter  tumblr blogger reddit email Youtube

So there’s this video game Portal and not only is it a Perfect game but….
What….
I’m not saying it….
NO it’s a cliche and I have standers good sir
OK how about this ill just say the Cake is a Dark S 7 Maneuver
And if you got that reference congrats you’re as big a loser as I am!
All jokes aside, Portal IS one of the BEST GAMES in recent years! That’s right you heard me. Humor at perfect pitch, controls like the trident of Poseidon controlling the seas themselves, and one of the most compelling diabolically logical psychotic villains ever glad-us. You think the repetitive bosses from bio-shock or the ending to Half life was “challenging” then you’ll flip your shit with this crazy bitch. She’s not bad she’s not good she just is.

And that’s scary as hell.

Oh and she likes science…

AAAAAAALOT!

shes just a little to excited to see you in peril. In fact, she loves science so much she sings about it.
Make sure when you hear the song you have a extra pair of ball huggers handy because you will reach full release at this moment. (gross I know) Like a gift for complete the science “tests”.

Fever Tangent:

Remember when games would reword you for completing it. SMB gave you a more challenging version of the whole game with easier enemies swopped out for harder enemies. Or silent hills multiple endings depending if you played more conservatively with your supplies. Now adays you get Mass Effect 3 with multiple conclusions so minutely different  (SERIUSLY THE DIFFERENCE IN SOME IS SIMPLY A SWOPPED COOL/WARM EFFECT TO THE COLORS) they had to develop a prolog to black hole of plot holes and the sheer outrage of the fans, reluctantly given away a better prologe for no charge. Now adays if you qwant a reward you have to pay atleast 10 bucks for some dlc you know was in the code of the game and on the disk.
But I digress
.

After battling and defeating glad us she sings a remorseful and superficial acceptence

Hate, Love,

Regret, Betrayal,

Logic, Emotion,

Realization, Psychosis,

Tragedy, triumph.

It’s all here rapped into a dark humorous yet saddening song burrito.

Jonathan Coulton the writer and performer of the song is also know from his code monkey song depicting the people who punch out line after line of code for gaming as simple people Frito’s and mountain due. Also for Want You Gone” the Sequel  Portal 2’s credit them.

Now you’d think the first time it was a great game with a great song but can they do it twice. Well hell yeah they can were talking valve here. Their take are sweet ass time make you drool in anticipation and release it when it’s ready (HALF LIFE PART 3 PLEASE….NOW!!)

I put the links to both Still Alive and Want You Gone But I recommend beating the game and hearing it as I did. A reward for your hard work for Science!

oh and this last ones a remix i made of Still Alive. Enjoy!
